All that worry for nuthin'

After two or three weeks of stress at work I have to re-learn a lesson: things work out the way they're supposed to.
  • I've been up to my eyeballs in deadlines - grant applications, newsletter & annual report production.
  • Then there's the air conditioning problem. My office is in the back of the building and all the a/c blows in the front offices, so the average temp in my office, in the mid-afternoon, is probably 85 or so.
  • And, last but definitely not least: my first job performance review was today. On a Friday afternoon in the middle of the summer. Is there a more tiring time? Anyway, it was a glowing review and lasted only about 15 minutes and resulted in a humongous (for a nonprofit) bonus.
  • Then there's the ongoing car trauma. See Texas Lemon Law.
  • Oh yeah, one more thing: 100 degree days. Hot time in the city.

Like I said, all that worry for nothing.
